GAZA, November 4 (RIA Novosti) — Israel has reopened two border crossings with Gaza, the Palestinian head of the border coordination service Raid Fattuh told Ria Novosti Tuesday.
"The Israeli authorities have opened Kerem Shalom and Erez today. They have promised to let everyone through except for vehicles carrying building materials. The only exception was made for one truck with cement for a water-supply company," Fattuh said
Both crossings were closed on Friday after a rocket was launched from Gaza into the South of Israel. The shelling broke the agreement that saw the end of the 50-day stand-off between Israel and Gaza in August. The groups that are responsible for the attacks are out of Palestinian control.
On October 25 Egypt closed Rafah, the only crossing on the border with Gaza Strip in response to militant activity which killed over 30 soldiers in the Sinai Peninsula a day earlier.
