    The "Fridays for Future" movement started in August 2018 after 15-year-old Swedish student Greta Thunberg and other young activists sat in front of the Swedish parliament every school day for three weeks to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis.

    Watch a live broadcast from Paris where people are gathering for a "Fridays for Future" climate protest, the first demonstration in the capital for six months amid the pandemic.

    People will march from the Pantheon to the National Assembly – similar demonstrations are expected to take place around the world.
