‘Fridays for the Future’, a climate movement launched by Swedish teen eco-activist Greta Thunberg, was forced to stop its strikes for a couple of months due to coronavirus-related restrictions.

‘Fridays for Future’ protesters return to the streetsof Berlin for the first time since the start of the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

In August - September 2018, the Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg went out with a picket to the Swedish parliament building with a poster reading "School strike for climate". After some time, a social movement developed under this name, consisting of rallies involving schoolchildren and students, which usually take place on Friday and to which schoolchildren and students go instead of studying.
