Protests against racial discriminaton and police brutality have been going on in various parts of the globe for nearly a month after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis at the hands of a police officer.

​The killing of an African American man, George Floyd, by a white police officer resulted in global condemnation. The incident sparked a wave of anti-police brutality and anti-racism protests across the US and many cities worldwide, including Berlin.

At least 15,000 people attended a mass event at Alexanderplatz in the German capital on 6 June, according to reports.
