Up to 12 People Buried Under Snow Following Avalanche in Switzerland - Reports

A snow avalanche hit a ski resort in Switzerland, the local Nouvelliste newspaper reported, saying that as a result, 10 to 12 people have been left buried under snow.

The police stated that the avalanche took place in the Plaine-Morte sector of the resort, adding that rescuers are at the site. According to them, several people are buried under the snow.

Social media users have shared alleged videos from the area.

Later, police reported that at least four people were injured as a result of the avalanche, with one being in critical condition.
