    Armed Man Causes Evacuation of Plastic Surgery Clinic in Netherlands – Reports

    Rotterdam Police evacuated the plastic surgery clinic after receiving reports of an armed man in the building, RTL television and radio reported.

    According to a police spokesperson, the doctor was bound and threatened with a firearm. The police evacuated the building. The released doctor was sent for a medical examination.

    "Four SWAT vans came and men with walkie-talkies," an eyewitness said to newspaper AD. He also saw negotiators and people in bulletproof vests arrive. "I was cycling by on my way home from school. I saw people coming out of the building. They were crying."

    The hostage taker did not say why they were in the clinic, an eyewitness said.

    Law enforcement agencies are inquiring into the circumstances of the incident, although police haven't made any arrests yet.
