London's Oxford Circus underground station has reopened after a massive evacuation, with armed police arriving on the scene.
Police have confirmed that officers had been responding to "an incident" at the station, saying later that reported gunshots have been the reason for the evacuation. However, police have found no evidence of gunshots after examining the area, with no suspect in the incident being found.

While Metro newspaper reported that gun shots have been heard in the area, eyewitnesses claimed that a bomb squad looking police van has arrived at Oxford Circus, with no confirmation following. Firefighters have also been seen in the area.
Everyone saying there’s been gunshots and bomb at Oxford Circus. People who are there aren’t tweeting that. They say they ran because others ran. TFL are calling it a customer incident. Armed police are there due to mass panic, not because of terrorism. Stop spreading fake news.
