    Man Attacks Spanish Policemen With Knife on Morocco Border

    Spanish police detained a man who attacked the officers at the Beni Enzar border between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Melilla checkpoint with a knife, leaving one of them slightly injured, according to Spanish Interior Minister Juan Ignacio Zoido.

    MADRID (Sputnik) — A man carried out a knife attack on Spanish policemen on the border between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Melilla, Spanish Interior Minister Juan Ignacio Zoido said on Tuesday, adding that the perpetrator of the attack was detained.

    "Police detained a man who attacked the officers at the Beni Enzar border checkpoint with a knife, leaving one of them slightly injured," Zoido said.

    The man shouted "Allahu akbar" during the attack.
