The UK Labour Party has wrestled the Kensington seat in London from the Conservatives, with the final UK election result standing at 318 Conservative seats and 262 Labour seats, local media said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The constituency's vote counting was suspended earlier in the day due to staff fatigue after three recounts of the extremely close result.

The final recount indicated that Labour has won the seat, with Emma Dent Coad defeating Victoria Borwick, a former deputy to Boris Johnson during his time as mayor, The Guardian reported.

    The margin was 20 votes.
