BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — According to Le Soir media outlet, the suspect was detained on Monday. The police retrieved the weapon and some electronic devices, but no explosives have been found.
The suspect will appear in court on Tuesday, where it will be decided whether he is to be put under arrest.
Belgium's terror alert level remains high since the bomb attacks on a Brussels airport and a metro station that killed 32 and injured over 300 people in March. The Deash jihadist group, outlawed in many countries including Russia, claimed responsibility for the attacks.
