BERLIN (Sputnik) — On December 1, the German broadcaster held a phone survey, with respondents calling in to answer the question of the day, which was "Can Putin be trusted?" and, as a result, 81 percent of the survey participants answered affirmatively.
"This type of survey is not representative. It was indicated by voice and teletext," Klauser said.
The spokeswoman also said that the results of the poll were not removed from the broadcaster's website but replaced by the results of a new survey, which was regular practice.
On December 12, the director of the Third European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Nechayev, told Sputnik that the results of the poll contradicted the position of mainstream German media.
