MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Nenchev’s lawyer Radan Kanev said that the prosecutors only filed charges on Wednesday without presenting the case materials and released Nenchev under condition that he is not allowed to leave the city, the Nova TV broadcaster reported.
"I do not care about the charges they have brought against me. I am absolutely certain about everything I have done over these years," Nenchev told reporters, as quoted by the Nova TV broadcaster.
Nenchev added that the agreement with Poland was beneficial for the country and complied with NATO's policy on making the members of the alliance less dependent on Russia, according to the broadcaster.
The agreement for the servicing and repair of the six Russian-made MiG-29 was signed between Warsaw and Sofia in late October, 2015. Poland agreed to service the six aircraft engines for 6.1 million euros ($6.45 million).
