    The first results show former French Prime Minister Francois Fillon leading in the first round of the French center-right presidential primaries, media reported Sunday, citing first official data.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Fillon has taken the lead with 42.8 percent of the votes, another former Prime Minister Alain Juppe is trailing him with 26 percent, while the former President Nicolas Sarkozy is in the third place with 24.4 percent, Le Monde newspaper reported.

    2,912 ballots have been counted so far, according to the newspaper.
