MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Francis arrived in Sweden on a two-day visit to participate in a Common Ecumenical Prayer at the Lutheran Cathedral of Lund and to attend the Ecumenical event, comprising Lutherans and Catholics in Malmo.

The visit was scheduled to be held in conjunction with the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017 and with the dialogue process between the representatives of the Roman Catholic Church and the Lutheran World Federation.
