Czech Republic to Hold First Round of Senate Elections on Oct. 7-8

The Czech Republic is going to hold the first round of the Senate elections on October 7-8 that will coincide with the regional elections as well as municipal referendum on the Brno central station.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The main struggle is expected to be between two coalition parties, the Czech Social Democratic Party and the ANO 2011 centrist movement. The second round of elections to the 81-member upper chamber of the parliament will be held on October 14-15.

Citizens of the city of Brno are going to vote on whether to retain the city’s railway station at its current location modernizing it or to build it at another location.
