    Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is ready to restore its relations with London and "go as far as they want to go, but we will not impose anything on them, it is not needed, we cannot decide for them in what scale to restore relations."

    HANGZHOU (Sputnik) – Russia is ready to restore fully-format relations with the United Kingdom, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday.

    Putin and UK Prime Minister Theresa May held a one-on-one meeting early Sunday on the sidelines of the G20 leaders' summit in Hangzhou, China.

    "The prime minister is only beginning her work, she has internal issues to deal with, but the United Kingdom and Russia used to have very stable and full-format relations at some point, we are ready to return to them. The issue is not with us, the issue is with the British side," Putin told reporters.

    According to the Russian president, Moscow is ready to restore its relations with London and "go as far as they want to go, but we will not impose anything on them, it is not needed, we cannot decide for them in what scale to restore relations."
