UK PM May Calls to Redouble Efforts Against Terrorism Amid Nice Attack

Efforts against terrorism must be "redoubled" amid Thursday's deadly attack in the French city of Nice, UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Late on Thursday evening, a heavy truck hit a crowd celebrating the Bastille Day in Nice, killing 84 and injuring dozens more.

"If, as we fear, this was a terrorist attack, then we must redouble our efforts to defeat these brutal murderers who want to destroy our way of life," May told reporters.
