BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — At least 84 people died late Thursday after a truck rammed into a crowd watching Bastille Day fireworks in the southern French city of Nice. President Francois Hollande said the assault was clearly of a "terrorist nature."
"We stand in solidarity with the international coalition, the fight against terrorism is going on in Europe and beyond our borders…We continue to play an active role in the international operation in Syria and Iraq," Michel told reporters after the National Security Council meeting.
Belgium has six F-16 bombers stationed in Jordan. The jets have been flying bombing missions as part of the US-led international coalition effort to crush Daesh forces in the Middle East.
