ASTANA (Sputnik) — The 14th Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) will be held in June 2017 in the Kazakh capital of Astana at the venue of the upcoming EXPO-2017, Chair of EAMF Organizing Committee Dariga Nazarbayeva said Friday.
"The 14th Eurasian Media Forum will take place on June 22-23, 2016 at one of the venues of EXPO-2017 in Astana," Nazarbayeva, who is also Kazakh deputy prime minister, said at the closing ceremony of the 13th EAMF.
The EAMF is the Almaty-based non-governmental organization, which brings together politicians, businessmen and journalists from around the world to discuss important issues on the global agenda, according to the forum's website.
On June 17-September 17, World’s Fair EXPO-2017 with the main theme "Future Energy" will be held in Astana. Sub-themes of the exhibition are: reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, energy saving and energy for all. At least 81 country and 14 international organizations have confirmed their participation in the upcoming exhibition.
