Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said that Minsk is ready to be a mediator of the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Minsk is prepared to contribute to efforts in solving the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said Friday.

“Both the Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples are brothers to us. We would like for them to find [a solution] perhaps through a third country…and we’re ready to contribute. We would like for them to find solutions to this issue at the negotiations table in understanding of the overall recognized principles and norms of international law that we must be guided by,” Makei said during a press conference in Moscow.
