"The march brings together all of Belgian society through a signal of solidarity with the victims of the attacks, and those who provided assistance, expertise and services. It is they who will occupy the place of honor at the head of the march," the announcement published by the Belgian press on Thursday reads.
Emmanuel Foulon, organizer and spokesman for the event, originally scheduled the event to take place on March 27, but postponed it after warnings of a possible threat.
A banner posted on Foulon’s Facebook page in the early hours of Thursday invites attendants to gather at the Brussels-North railway station in the Schaerbeek municipality at 2:00 p.m. (12:00 GMT).
Its route is expected to be announced later.
Brussels and Belgium as a whole are attempting to recover from the March 22 suicide bombings at Brussels airport and a central metro station that killed 32 and injured over 300.
