The Brussels international airport will remain closed for passenger flights through Wednesday, the airport said in a statement on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Monday, the airport said it was "in full preparation for partial restart" following two suicide blasts that hit its departure hall on March 22.

Last week, a series of deadly terrorist attacks shook Brussels, leaving 35 people killed and over 300 injured in the airport attacks and an explosion at the Maelbeek metro station near the EU institutions.
