KIEV (Sputnik) — People's Front faction in the Ukrainian parliament believes that the coalition in the Verkhovna rada has seized to exist and urges the creation of a new parliamentary coalition to ensure the effective work of the new Cabinet proposed by President Petro Poroshenko, a deputy head of the faction said Thursday.
"The participants of today's meeting of faction leaders agreed that there are serious doubts about the existence of the current coalition," Viktoria Siumar told reporters after the meeting.
"I think we must exhaust all possibilities to ensure the work of the coalition, to form a coalition with the maximum number of deputies in order to draft amendments to the coalition agreement or to prepare a new text of the agreement," Siumar said.
She added that the People's front faction will discuss the Poroshenko-proposed candidature of Volodymyr Groysman for the post of new Ukrainian prime minister as well as key provisions of a new coalition agreement and the program of government actions.
