Austrian Police Said Received Info on Terror Attacks in EU During Christmas
Several European capitals received a warning from a "friendly intelligence service" about possible terrorist attacks between Christmas and New Year, Austrian police said in a press release as cited by the local APA news agency Saturday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The police said that the attacks could be carried out with the use of firearms or explosives, adding that the warning contained several names of potential terrorists being checked by the Austrian law enforcement agencies at the moment.
Austrian police said it increased monitoring and surveillance following the warning although it had no additional information on the threat in terms of place or time.
