MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Ryzhkov detailed the planned inspection of the brigade’s peace-time headquarters, followed by a briefing where the battalion’s command is expected to provide personnel, weapons and equipment information.
"The Lapland Air Command located in the city of Korkalovaara will undergo a one-day evaluation on December 8," Sergei Ryzhkov said.
Inspection visits are arranged in compliance with the Vienna Document 2011 on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures (CSBM) signed by members of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). They are carried out to verify information about military forces and plans for deployment of major weapons systems and military equipment.
The CSBM is part of a series of agreements signed between OSCE participating states on the exchange of information on military forces, budgets and defense planning.
