MOSCOW (Sputnik), Daria Chernyshova – The Finnish Justice Ministry is working on legislative amendments that will qualify providing finance for terrorism-related trips to other countries as a criminal offense, the ministry’s counsellor of legislation told Sputnik Thursday.
The legislative amendments will be up for parliamentary review in spring 2016.
The measures come in the aftermath of the November 13 Paris terrorist attacks that left 130 dead and over 300 injured.
Following the killings in the French capital, Finnish law enforcement agencies raised their level of preparedness, according to an Interior Ministry spokesperson. Extra attention is paid to security at large transport hubs such as airports and ports, the spokesperson told Sputnik a day after the deadly Paris attacks.
