MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The British undercover police officers, trained to spot people carrying out terrorist reconnaissance, have been deployed in the United Kingdom to prevent a terrorist attack, local media reported Monday.
According to The Guardian newspaper, the officers have experience in behavioral detection and have been deployed to high-risk areas like transport hubs and high profile buildings.
The plan has already deterred hostile reconnaissance, according to the newspaper.
The scheme was first rolled out for the City of London police, and the other areas are currently considering it.
Europe has been shaken by the terrorist attacks in Paris, France, which claimed lives of 130 people.
