Three people were arrested in a Brussels counter-terrorism raid over the attacks in Paris, local media reported.

BRUSSELS (Sputnik) – According to the RTBF network, all three were detained Saturday and are now being held in custody.

A photo taken on November 14, 2015 with a mobile phone shows a van of the Belgian bomb disposal unit SEDEE as police block a street during a police raid possibly in connection with the November 13 deadly attacks in Paris, in Brussels' Molenbeek district

Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel told RTBF later Saturday that one of the detained may have been in Paris while the attacks were taking place.

On Friday night, eight extremists wearing explosive belts attacked several venues across Paris, killing 129 people at restaurants, the Bataclan concert hall and in the vicinity of the Stade de France stadium.

Belgium opened its own probe into the incident following reports that Belgian nationals died in the assault.
