Some 40 Injured as Police Clash With Protesters in Montenegro
PODGORICA (Sputnik) — At least 120 people were injured in the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica on Saturday night as police dispersed an anti-government rally, one of the leaders of the Democratic Front opposition alliance told RIA Novosti.

“According to our data obtained from various sources, the official information about the number of injured is understated, while the real number of people injured during the crackdown amounts to 120…,” Strahinja Bulajic said on Sunday.

According to the Interior Ministry, 15 police officers and 24 civilians were injured during the clashes.

During the rally organized by the Democratic Front the protesters demanded the resignation of the country’s Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, who is accused of corruption and ties with organized crime.
