The anti-Russian rhetoric in the coverage of the events in Ukraine has seriously dented the credibility of the German press and they are now trying to improve their image by establishing a German analogue of the Pulitzer award.

The openly propagandistic activity of Germany’s ’biased mainstream media outlets,’ the lies they have been telling about Ukraine’s Maidan ‘revolution,’, the Greek debt crisis and the events in Syria has also sent their sales down and earned them the title of ‘dishonest press,’ Propagandaschau Watchblog for Disinformation and Propaganda in German Media wrote on Tuesday.

Many people now believe that the German media are being controlled by politicians and Big Business and their credibility rating has hit the depths not exceeding that of the Church and tour operators, Propagandaschau noted.

In a desperate bid to whitewash their sallied image the media spin doctors are busily slashing prices and are now going to establish a German analogue of the coveted Pulitzer Prize.

“Professional liars on the so-called public television are regularly showering each other with all kinds of awards at the TV viewers’ expense.”

“With died-in-the-wool fibbers and political spin doctors sitting on the jury of the new award the absurdity of their new endeavor will surely be hard to miss,” the author concluded.
