Spanish police arrested two Moroccans accused of recruiting volunteers for the Islamic State and distributing terrorist propaganda. The men were detained in the municipality of Cornella de Llobregat, a suburb of Barcelona, following an eight-month-long probe.
Spain has stepped up its counterterrorism efforts in recent months. In April, Spanish law enforcement officers arrested 11 people allegedly linked to the brutal Sunni group. In March, police detained four people believed to be involved in an IS recruitment network.
