Ukrainian Azov Battalion Fighter Injured by Shelling in Shirokino

Earlier, the press-office of the Kiev-led special operations in eastern Ukraine reported that since Saturday’s evening Donbass militia fighters violated the ceasefire 35 times.

Kiev Forces Dig Heels on Shirokino Withdrawal
Donbass independence supporters started mass shelling of positions of Kiev-led forces in the village of Shirokino on Sunday morning, the Azov battalion reported on its Facebook page.

"Today, the morning started with a massive artillery fire in Shirkino which is continuing now. The enemy used light weapons and anti-aircraft guns. One Azov fighter was injured," according to the report.

The battalion also added that after the calm morning on May 9, shelling of Ukrainian positions resumed with a higher intensity.

Earlier, the press-office of the Kiev-led special operations in eastern Ukraine reported that since Saturday’s evening Donbass militia fighters violated the ceasefire 35 times.

Ukrainian army positions were shelled with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars near Peski, Opytny, Mariinka and the Dutovka coal mine.

In mid-April 2014 a military operation was launched in the Ukrainian east. According to the latest UN report, 6,243 people were killed in the conflict from April 2014 to April 14 2015. In addition, 15,615 were injured in the conflict zone.
