Between 10 and 15 people have sustained injuries in a shooting in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, local police said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) Earlier in the day, police reported that two young men were killed in the incident and eight people were wounded. The shooting took place at a bar late Wednesday evening.

Vastra Gotaland county police said in its latest statement that "10-15 people have sustained varying bullet injuries.”

“Several offenders opened fire with automatic weapons and left the scene in a car. Neither car nor suspected perpetrators have been found,” according to the police.

A “large number of people” are currently being interviewed, though it is “too early to give an overall picture of the event,” the police said.

The site of the shooting has been cordoned off and the crime scene has been secured, according to the statement.
