Contact Group on Ukraine to Hold Video Conference on February 17 – DPR

Negotiator of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said that video conference between the participants of the Contact Group on Ukrainian reconciliation will be held in the morning on February 17.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Video conference between the participants of the Contact Group on Ukrainian reconciliation will be held in the morning on February 17, the negotiator of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin said Monday.

"Skype-conference will be held tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. Moscow time [05:30 GMT]. The Ukrainian side has already confirmed its participation in the talks," Pushilin was quoted as saying by the Donetsk News Agency.

The Contact Group on Ukrainian reconciliation comprises envoys from Kiev, Moscow, the Luhansk and Donetsk people's republics, as well as the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

On Sunday, a ceasefire between Ukrainian forces and Donbas militia entered into force, as agreed on February 12 at a meeting of German, French, Ukrainian and Russian leaders in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

The four leaders worked out a peace plan to de-escalate the conflict in southeastern Ukraine, which has claimed lives of more than 5,600 people, according to UN.

Other measures stipulate all-for-all prisoners swap and heavy weaponry pullback from the line of contact.
