Apart from the above, Lufthansa Cargo pilots will strike on December 2 from 3.00 a.m. local time (2.00 a.m. GMT) until 23.59 local time (10.59 p.m. GMT).
The union said it was sorry for any inconvenience caused to the passengers, and called on Lufthansa’s management to find a solution to the tariff dispute as soon as possible.
This is not the first strike of Lufthansa’s pilots in the last few months. The pilots protested against proposed changes in company's current retirement benefits in October, 2014. Under the existing rules, Lufthansa pilots can retire at the age of 55 and receive 60 percent of their salary, but now the company said it would make changes as the European Union revised the pilot-licensing rules, allowing them to fly until the age of 65.
