MOSCOW, November 4 (RIA Novosti) — Council of Europe’s (CE) Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland is planning to visit the Russian capital in the end of November, his press secretary Daniel Holtgen told RIA Novosti Tuesday.
"The program of the secretary general's visit is currently being discussed with the Russian side," Holtgen said.
According to the press secretary, Jagland could visit Moscow on November 27.
Prior to visiting Russia, the secretary general visited Ukraine, where he had a conversation with the country's leadership.
Jadland visited Moscow earlier in September, when he met with the Speaker of the lower house of Russian parliament Sergei Naryshkin and the country's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Relations between Moscow and Strasbourg and the Ukrainian crisis were discussed by the sides in September.
