    A Canadian GMO company has announced that genetically modified apples will be available in select US supermarkets for the first time ever this year.

    The apples will rot significantly slower than ordinary ones with allegedly no change to taste or nutrition. Only ten grocery stores in the American Midwest will have access to the genetically engineered fruits.
