ATHENS (Sputnik) — Tsipras stressed that the main priority of the government was to improve the life of Greek citizens.

"First of all, we should complete the second review in accordance with the schedule. Without derogation from the principles and unnecessary delays. And soon after that we should start the discussion of the measures ensuring the sustainability of the state debt on time and without delays," Tsipras said at the first meeting of the Council of Ministers after the reshuffle.

The Greek debt crisis erupted in 2010 with a number of austerity packages adopted by the parliament and several bailout payments provided by the European Commission, The European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The loans, however, only resulted in increasing country’s debt.
