    The leaders put emphasis on long-term joint projects in the energy sector.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi discussed joint energy projects by phone, the Kremlin said Tuesday.

    "A range of topical issues of mutually beneficial Russian-Italian cooperation in various fields were discussed with an emphasis on long-term joint projects in the energy sector," the Kremlin's press service said.
