The agreement was signed by Russian Railways Senior Vice President Valentin Gapanovich and Swissrail President Peter Jenelten on the sidelines of the InnoTrans 2016 International Trade Fair for Transport Technology in Berlin.
Russian Railways and Swissrail plan to exchange information on latest technologies and approaches to the construction and maintenance of track facilities, rolling-stock operation, passenger and freight traffic organization and the testing of environmentally-friendly solutions for the rail market. They will also be focusing on traffic safety and the development of multi-mode interchange hubs, the report says.
