If Britain Goes: Three Scenarios for Brexit
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At 10:10 GMT, the GBP/USD exchange rate stood at 1.4878, up from 1.48 at 05:35 GMT and Wednesday's rate of 1.4706.

At the same time, the GBP/EUR exchange rate is estimated at 1.3058 compared to 1.302, which was the last rate registered on Wednesday.

British nationals are voting in a referendum to determine whether or not the United Kingdom should leave the European Union. Polling stations across the United Kingdom stay open from 7 a.m. (06:00 GMT) through 10 p.m. (21:00 GMT) local time. There is no threshold for turnout, and there will be no exit polls.

Brexit supporters argue that EU membership has eroded the country’s independence to legislate, direct its economy and control its borders. Opponents warn that leaving the European Union could deeply harm the UK economy.
