MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the minister, India’s economy is set to grow faster than that of any other country, and so is its energy consumption.
"The potential is huge, as India today consumes a very small amount of gas, and there is a large number of people in need of modern energy services," Novak said in an interview with RT television.
"So there is great potential here for the supply of pipeline gas, as well as liquefied natural gas."
On Wednesday, Novak said that Moscow and New Delhi were discussing the preparation for construction of a pipeline to deliver Russian natural gas to India.
