ZHUKOVSKY (outside Moscow), August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's MAKS-2007 air show will rival the Le Bourget air show in Paris, a senior official in the Federal Industrial Agency said.
"We plan to organize the next air show so that it could compete with Le Bourget," said Boris Alyoshin, the agency director.
He said MAKS had to have a higher rating as compared to other famous international air shows in order to attract more people and encourage them to sign important contracts. This way, MAKS will determine the future of aircraft building.
"These are the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves and we are intent on making them a reality in cooperation with Rosoboronexport [the only state agency for Russia's military exports/imports]," Alyoshin said.
