According to him, this is the main question at the general meeting of the Association of the Far Eastern Participants in the Sakhalin Projects which is underway Thursday in Khabarovsk.
"Today it can be said for sure that the participation of the Far Eastern enterprises in fulfilling the orders on the Sakhalin projects is extremely insufficient. The time has come for the Far Eastern industrialists to intensify their activity in forming a Russian oil and gas market and an industrial complex of oil and gas production and processing with the predominance of Russian capital," Konstantin Pulikovsky said.
The presidential plenipotentiary representative believes that the association should considerably expand its activity and, relying on the accumulated experience, start accomplishing its tasks of forming the systems and structures of the Far Eastern oil and gas complex.
The association was founded three years ago and considerably helped the Russian entrepreneurs in holding international tenders and fulfilling the orders in developing oil and gas deposits on the Sakhalin continental shelf.
At the present time more than a dozen companies from the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Japan and India, and also about twenty Russian companies, which act mainly as subcontractors, take part in developing the Sakhalin shelf.
