MOSCOW, March 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov on Monday signed a resolution on indexing pensions starting from April, said Mikhail Zurabov, Minister of Public Health and Social Development.
"A corresponding draft resolution was submitted to the Prime Minister and he signed it today," Mr. Zurabov said at a meeting conducted by President Putin with the key cabinet members.
"I ask you to keep matters of this kind under your personal control, despite any reorganizations," Mr. Putin said responding to this news and addressing Prime Minister Fradkov.
Zurabov assured that there was "quite enough time" for conducting reappraisal, finding required funds and starting payments since the start of April.
