Only journalists will be able to attend the salon in the first two days. On March 4-14 it will be open for all visitors.
Producers from 30 countries will present car specialties and accessories in Geneva.
According to experts, Renault 407 liftback and sedan, new Audi A6, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, Corvette coupe and cabriolet, new Mitsubishi Colt, BMW 6-series cabriolet, Renault Wind, Chrysler PT Cruiser Cabrio and Mini Cabriolet will make a sensation at the car salon.
Citroen, Fiat, Mazda, Nissan, Opel, Renault, Sbarro, Toyota and Volvo will present the latest models of their concept cars. Two concept cars of the famous firm Italdesign (Italy) will be included in the category of exclusive cars.
Russia will show VAZ-2110, 2111 and 2112, and the Lada Revolution sports car, which was first shown at the Moscow auto salon last year.
The official opening ceremony of the auto salon will take place on March 4. Swiss President Joseph Deiss is expected to participate in the ceremony.
The awarding ceremony of the Best Cabriolet of the Year will be held in Geneva, as well.
