MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 4. /RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT TATYANA BELYAKOVA/ -- The federal state unitary enterprise the Russian State Concern for Electricity and Heat Production at Nuclear Power Stations (Rosenergoatom) may lose a power-supply contract with Belarus, Rosenergoatom head Oleg Saraev told the press conference in Moscow on Wednesday.

We feel in our power-supply talks "pressure from the Ukrainian nuclear power plants", he said.

Ukrainian plants are ready to export electricity to Belarus for 1.6 cents per 1 kilowatt-hour while Rosenergoatom cannot do it for below 2.5 cents, Saraev explained.

The Rosenergoatom head did not rule out that the Ukrainian price is set minding the existing debt on some contracts signed between Ukraine and Belarus.

Saraev noted that no contract but only a tentative draft is in existence between Rosenergoatom and Belarus.

He also said that Rosenergoatom is discussing a draft jointly with Ukraine for the export of electricity. He did not specify what countries it may involve.
