GENEVA, February 2. /RIA Novosti correspondent/ -- A regular round of the talks on Russia's entry into the World Trade Organisation (WTO) is beginning in Geneva on Monday.

The Russian delegation will be headed by Russia's Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Medvedkov.

A number of bilateral and multilateral talks will be held within the round. As it is expected, the questions of access onto the markets of goods will be discussed with representatives of approximately 20 countries, and onto the markets of services - with 10-15 countries.

A meeting of the working group on Russia's entry into the WTO is scheduled for February 5. Separate items of the draft of a final report on Russia's entry into the WTO will be discussed at its meeting. The matter concerns approximately 15 sections of the report, among them internal taxation, the use of the VAT, transit of goods, and functioning of the customs unions in free economic zones.

During the World Economic Summit in Davos Russia's Vice-Premier and Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin stated that entry into the WTO already in 2004 is a priority of the Russian economic policy.
