    MOSCOW, JANUARY 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Deputy Energy Minister Vladimir Stanev declared Friday that the Republic of Korea could participate in East Siberian minerals development tenders on a par with Russian companies.

    The energy ministry reports that Vladimir Stanev made his statement while meeting with Pak Chang Won, councilor of the Korean president's committee on North-Asian business cooperation. The talks were attended by Song Sung Hwang, plenipotentiary minister for economic matters in the Korean embassy in Russia, and Lee Jung Hom, director of the Korean center on oil cooperation.

    The sides discussed a program for the development of energy resources in Eastern Siberia and for the expansion of a single Russian oil conduit networks in Eastern Siberia and the Far East as well as reviewed capacities of leading Russian oil-and-gas companies in the extraction and transportation of the region's oil resources.

    Stanev informed the Korean side of plans by the state-run companies Rosneft, Gazprom and Transneft to take active part in oil reclamation and transportation together with other major oil-and-gas companies - for this, tenders will be held for all those who wish to gain a licence for developing definite fields.

    The Russian side made a point of this country's willingness to attract foreign investment and foreign partnership in East Siberian development.

    Under review was also a construction project of the Angarsk-Nakhodka oil-conduit system (Siberia-the Far East).

    The Korean side dwelt on the power engineering condition and reforms in Korea.
