Moscow, January 29, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent Evgeniya Yakuta) - According to forecasts, the price of the Urals oil in 2004 will be more than $26 per barrel, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin told journalists Thursday.

"Taking into account the last forecasts of the international analysts and the IMF [International Monetary Fund], in 2004, we expect to retain high oil prices, more than $26 per barrel," the deputy prime minister said.

Mr. Kudrin added that budget revenues from the oil customs duties will be preserved at the high level (last year they made up 40% of the federal budget income).
